Journal 3/30/11 Historical Fiction

I think that the perpose of my book "The Children's Civil War" is to teach how the war effected the children's lives. I am going to right my essay like a diary from a young child. I have not made the choice weather or not she will be from the north or the south, but her family will be split, and fight against each other.

    Now you need to let your ideas for your story guide your research. What do you need to know in order to make your story historically accurate?
